Programs such as board and train mean the pet can spend a period of time with a trainer to learn skills or personal training is one-on-one coaching over several sessions in which the trainer comes to your home. Both ways help with behavior, then you step in and improve things, but you still need to be actively involved in keeping the coaching at home.

What is the first thing you should teach your dog?The initial thing for a dog to learn is basic obedience; and name recognition. In these programs, your dog will stay with a professional trainer whose specialty is potty training, crate routines, and indoor manners. If you’re short on time or have trouble sticking to a consistent exercise routine, it’s a great choice. But for any training to stick, you’ll need to apply the same rules at home when your pup is back. It takes practice to be consistent.
